Kari-In, Kari-Out is a small, women-owned business in upstate New York.

Our founder, Kari Van Buren, is a third-generation realtor from Kinderhook, NY. She grew up in real estate and saw many different kinds of sales over the years, but every sale had one thing in common: they all needed help decluttering and disposing of unwanted belongings.

In 2023, she sat down with her parents and told them she wanted to create a business to help homeowners, family, and friends prepare for the sale of their homes. With the assistance of her parents and best friend, she hosted her first small sale in the winter of 2023, and the business has grown from there. In addition to estate sales, she sells items on consignment for clients and hosts several pop-ups throughout Kinderhook and the surrounding area.

We are based in Kinderhook, NY, and provide estate sales, packing and moving services, cleanouts, and home organization in and around the following areas: all of Columbia County, NY (Kinderhook, Hudson, Chatham, Stuyvesant, Copake, Germantown), northern Dutchess County, NY (Red Hook, Clinton Corners, Rhinebeck), southern Rensselaer County, NY (East Greenbush, Schodack, Castleton-on-Hudson, Nassau, Troy), and eastern Greene County (Catskill, Athens, Cairo, East Durham, Coxsackie), as well as the Capital Region.
